In Greene County district court Kyle Michael Moore, 23, of Ames was granted a deferred judgment July 24 after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana. He was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. He must also undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at his own expense. He must pay a $125 civil penalty and $192.20 court costs. A charge against Moore in magistrate court of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed. Court costs in that case were $60. Persons pleaded not guilty as follows: Samir Hasimovic, 39, of Johnston, criminal mischief- second degree and theft- third degree; Scott Cram, 32, of Bagley, assault causing bodily injury or mental illness; and Robert John Mobley, 36, of Jefferson, operating while intoxicated- first offense. Hasimovic’s trial date was set for Oct. 20. Trial dates for Cram and Mobley were set ford Nov. 3.
Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Shayla Nicole Stephenson, 30, of Grand Junction, OWI- first offense; and Juan Angel Guzman, 33, of Jefferson, forgery.
